The pictures addresses, in a nostalgic manner, the theme of attraction to ruin and the spectacular in the current artistic context through the photographic medium. A mining past of some industrial wealth invaded the landscape in the nineteenth century, now it is an illusion of what had been and was again conquered by nature.
